In the town of Cuevas Bajas (Málaga), a native variety of purple carrot known as "Zanahoria Morá" is grown. This variety is characterized by its intense purple exterior, an orange middle layer, and a distinctive purple core. The purple interior color appears to be influenced by the growing area, as it has been observed that this variety grown elsewhere does not develop this color.

During the 2014-2015 crop season, severe phytotoxicity damage was observed in the early stages of sunflowers planted in late winter or early spring. The effects were severe in some farms, resulting in almost the entire crop being lost, while in others, the damage was milder, and the crop managed to reach maturity.

In the search for alternative crops to conventional greenhouse-grown vegetables, this study evaluated the greenhouse production of six cultivars of sweet cucumber (Solanum muricatum).
