Description of activities
  • Identify actors involved in short-term marketing channels for organic foods in Andalusia.
  • Share basic principles and common criteria.
  • Design and develop the traceability system in a participatory manner.
  • Investigate the procedures and regulations that could be implemented by local and regional governments to recognize this adapted traceability system in public food procurement programs.
  • Test and validate the designed traceability system.
Objectives

The objective is to design a traceability system adapted to the characteristics of sustainable, local foods marketed through short-term marketing channels (including public food procurement programs), regardless of the actors involved in the chain. This system prioritizes local foods, with a minimal number of intermediaries, and with differentiated quality in terms of sustainability in production methods adapted to the region where they are produced, responding to the demands of small producers.
