TIMBERTRACK Operational Group: Development of a labeling system in the Monte-Industria wood supply chain

With the development of new data management and flow systems, it is necessary to have a system for identifying wood through labeling/marking, both at the individual piece (log) level and, in many cases, batches. This allows the enormous volume of data collected by the sensors integrated into current forestry machinery to be transferred to economic agents who can put it to good use by extracting highly valuable information.

Work will be done to develop and implement a technically and economically viable solution for the Spanish timber supply chain, seeking to achieve the highest degree of integration with currently used mining machinery and seamless integration with the GO Woodchain traceability software system for applying blockchain technology to the timber supply chain.
