Description
Development of new feeds enriched with fungi and algae with antimicrobial, immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory capacity.
Objectives
- Design and develop functional raw materials based on fungi and microalgae aimed at the livestock sector.
- To evaluate in vitro the antimicrobial, immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory capacity and to analytically characterize the formulated ingredients and feeds.
- To evaluate in vivo the efficacy of experimental feeds in the poultry farm
Results
- Selection of species with the greatest antimicrobial, immunomodulatory and/or anti-inflammatory potential for pilot-scale production of fungi and microalgae.
- Microbiological and physical-chemical analysis of formulated feeds.
- In vitro evaluation of the antimicrobial, immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory and immunostimulant effects of large-scale manufactured feed.
- Establishment of several experimental batches and a control, evaluating different production, welfare, meat quality and sensory parameters, in addition to analyzing the immunomodulatory capacity through the analysis of blood parameters.
