Description
The project aims to increase productivity, profitability, sustainability and adaptation to climate change in sunflower cultivation by developing a predictive model incorporated into an intuitive and freely accessible decision-making APP.
Objectives
- Improve knowledge about sunflower cultivation and its current situation.
- Obtain historical data to feed the app and productivity and quality data in sunflower cultivation.
- Adjustment of the AquaCrop (FAO) simulation model for sunflower and development of an open-access app for decision-making.
- Quantification of the reduction in the impact of modernized crops compared to traditional crops and proposal of management and planning guidelines at the national level for sunflower cultivation.
- Communication and dissemination of the project: its results and contributions to current knowledge.
