Description
FUNGIGO promotes the implementation of a pilot model of Smart Mushroom Parks for inclusive rural development based on the environmental and economic sustainability of wild mushrooms.
Objectives
- To articulate and guarantee the environmental sustainability of the mycological resource from the forest to the moment of its commercialization
- Pilot a training program for employment and a support model for inclusive entrepreneurship based on the comprehensive use of mycological resources.
- Articulate and guarantee marketing and mycotourism channels
- Optimize the legal framework for wild mushrooms and develop ICTs to optimize their visibility, value, use, traceability, legality, employability, and marketing.
Results
- Comprehensive management plan model for the use of mycological resources and implementation of the Smart Mycological Park in the Sierra de Candelario (Salamanca)
- Launch of a training and employment pathway program and a support program for inclusive entrepreneurship
- Design of mycotourism routes, configuration of smart mycological packages and marketing implementation program
- Pilot model for a smart legal structure and development of new technologies and techniques based on data science for use in the mushroom value chain
