Description of activities

InnoMeatEdu aims to develop innovative digital training materials for students, teachers, and professionals in the meat sector. The project is divided into five Work Packages: WP1. Management; WP2. Meat Science and Technology; ES Training: Development of the Competency Framework; WP3. Development of innovative training materials; and WP5. Connection with the meat industry, dissemination, and sustainability.

Objectives

The overall objective of InnoMeatEdu is to harness the potential of European human and social capital, derived from higher education institutions and the meat industry, to exchange and transfer knowledge and experience in meat science and technology training by creating an open-access electronic platform. To this end, five higher education institutions, a research center, and a consulting and communications firm have joined together in a consortium. In addition, 33 associated partners support InnoMeatEdu.

Results

The digital training materials developed on meat production and processing, safety, quality and entrepreneurship, and sustainability in the meat sector will be freely accessible in Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) format through an interactive platform developed within the framework of the project and available in several languages. InnoMeatEdu is based on the cooperation of various institutions and industries, with the collaboration of 33 associated partners.
