Description of activities
- Development of an Advanced Management Tool based on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems adapted to the olive oil sector. Implementation of Industry 4.0 Enabling Technologies in the olive sector. Traceability control from the producer (farmer) to packaging and marketing.
- Traceability at source (producer).
- Traceability in the factory.
- Traceability in packaging.
- Development of tools based on Digital Twins for real-time simulations of production processes and oleotourism.
- Development and implementation of an app in the general management system for autonomous, real-time interaction between farmers, factories, and the administration.
Objectives
The main objective is to improve the economic performance of all olive farms and facilitate their restructuring and modernization, particularly with a view to increasing their market share and orientation, as well as agricultural diversification through the digitalization of the sector and the implementation of Industry 4.0 technologies using a digital twin.
Currently, there are no effective, dedicated management systems for the production, processing, and packaging of oils in oil mills. Even fewer exist with the potential to include advanced management, real-time monitoring, and communication with farmers and the public administration.
