Cost reduction through fertilizer management on cattle farms

This Task Force seeks to reduce costs on cattle farms by improving the management of fertilizers on the farm and eliminating water pollution problems caused by poor planning and fertilization.

The only way out for the Galician livestock sector to avoid its disappearance is to increase its competitiveness by reducing its production costs.

The aim is to carry out correct fertilizer management with the objective of increasing the production per hectare of grass/corn, thereby reducing the surface area of the farm dedicated exclusively to the production of corn/forage and increasing the grazing surface of the livestock farm; a fact that will lead to a reduction in the quantity of feed needed for feeding.
