Increase the economic sustainability of extensive cattle fattening on extensive suckler cow farms

Objectives

Demonstration of the increased profitability associated with calf fattening in extensive suckler cow farms
Optimizing the feeding of calves intended for fattening in extensive suckler cow farms
Digitalization of the fattening process in extensive suckler cow farms
Technical coordination of a project that demonstrates the technical and economic viability of new innovative solutions
Dissemination and transfer of the results of the innovative project to the sector

Significant savings on farms (€100 more per year per cow)
Better use of the farms' natural resources due to the nutritional strategies developed, which will prevent their abandonment in the short term.
Sensorization of feedlots located on extensive suckler cow farms
Significant reduction in nitrogen emissions due to increased digestibility and reduced protein intake
Progress monitoring and financial management of the project
Promotion and dissemination of results in the livestock sector
