Increasing the economic sustainability of extensive cattle fattening on extensive farms of suckler cows

Objectives

Demonstration of the increase in profitability associated with calf fattening in extensive suckler cow farms.
Optimizing the feeding of calves intended for fattening in extensive farms with suckler cows.
Digitalization of the fattening process in extensive farms of suckler cows.
Technical coordination of a project that demonstrates the technical and economic viability of new innovative solutions.
Dissemination and transfer of the results of the innovative project to the sector

Significant savings on farms (€100 more per year per cow).
Better use of the farms' natural resources due to the nutritional strategies developed, which will prevent their abandonment in the short term.
Sensorization of feedlots located on extensive farms of suckler cows.
