Recovery of the Tinta Castañal variety, making a differentiated wine

The objectives of this Operational Group are the following: characterisation of the agronomic performance and behaviour in field conditions; analysis of the performance and quality of vitis vinifera and castañal under a sustainable production system; qualitative characterisation: phenolic and aromatic compounds in field conditions; preparation of single-variety wine for sale as a unique product with high added value, derived from the particularities/scarcity/potential of the variety; prospective analysis of available surface area with suitable characteristics for the implementation of tinta castañal; economic assessment/cost-benefit analysis.
