Improving fertility to improve the sustainability of extensive farms of native breeds in Extremadura

This Operational Group was created with the aim of designing and proposing a project to resolve the current problem related to the low fertility of the native Retinta and Blanca Cacereña breeds, used in the extensive production of beef in the Dehesa ecosystem of Extremadura.

The aim is to increase the profitability of farmers through better reproductive rates in extensive farming, which translates into more calves per year.
