Operational Group: Identification of new crops with high added value and a high manual workload adapted to social agroecology

The objective of creating this Operational Group is to implement the proposals resulting from the project, which aims to serve as a starting point for improving the productivity and sustainability of a group of companies dedicated to social agriculture through the incorporation of new crops.

Based on a study of each company, both at the agronomic and economic levels, the growing conditions, the agronomic characteristics of the farms, and the marketing capabilities are defined.

With this information, a list of potential new crops is created that could fit the specific conditions of each company.

From the initial list of crops, each one is filtered, determining which crops to discard and which can be incorporated immediately, in the medium or long term. Finally, an action plan is developed to allow for the implementation of the new crops on each farm.
