Operational Group: Tio de Camp: cold-pressed Camelina pomace and oil

An Operational Group has been established to promote a project to characterize two products derived from cold-pressed camelina (Camelina sativa (L.) Crantz): oil and cake. Therefore, it will be necessary to study the implementation of the crop in dryland agricultural systems. The new products will be, on the one hand, cold-pressed camelina oil with potential uses in the food, animal feed, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, industrial and energy markets, and on the other hand, cold-pressed camelina cake, rich in vegetable protein and unsaturated vegetable fat, omega-3 and vegetable antioxidants, for use in animal feed.
