Tio de Camp: pomace and cold-pressed Camelina oil

An Operational Group has been set up to promote the implementation of a project consisting of a study to characterise two products obtained from the cold pressing of camelina (Camelina sativa (L.) Crantz), which are oil and cake. For this reason, it will be necessary to study the implementation of the crop in dryland agricultural systems.

The new products will be, on the one hand, cold-pressed camelina oil with possible uses in the food market, animal feed, cosmetics, pharmaceutical uses, industrial and energy uses, and on the other hand, cold-pressed camelina cake, rich in vegetable protein and unsaturated vegetable fat, omega 3 and vegetable antioxidants for use in animal feed.
