Description
CHAINWOOD promotes the development of a system that allows, with guarantees of security and confidentiality, to manage and monitor the flow of wood from its production points to its supply to the universal public use wood industry.
Objectives
- Design and develop a modular software system based on the blockchain technology group that facilitates traceability and wood transactions between different agents.
- Define an operating and governance model for the system that encourages its use by the various actors based on security guarantees in data management, efficiency in its operation, and scalability in its application.
- Implement the system progressively in the different supply chains that exist in Spain, starting with Galicia, Asturias and Castilla y León
Results
- Creation of a blockchain-based software system, accessible to all stakeholders in the chain, to improve transactions, quality, and wood management.
- Design and development of the system's governance and operation protocol, determining the different roles of the participating actors, data management, maintenance and improvement of the system
- Implementation of three pilot projects in supply chains in the regions of the participating members (Galicia, Asturias, and Castile and León).
