Description
SUSTAINABLE WOOD CONSTRUCTION promotes the development of an intelligent tool for the proper selection and prescription of wood-derived products for construction and their incorporation into sustainable buildings, providing technical and environmental content.
Objectives
- Provide reliable technical information and data on wood products to facilitate prescription.
- Demonstrate through environmental information the excellence of wood as a construction material in relation to the values associated with sustainability.
- Provide a tool for transmitting information on the technical and environmental characteristics of wood products for construction.
Results
- Taxonomic classification of wood construction products based on their technical properties. Proposed construction solutions based on wood or containing wood, and an intelligent product selector.
- Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) and awareness-raising on the use of wood to contribute to climate change mitigation and sustainable forest development.
- Creation of web portals and intelligent information tools.
