Description
IBERCHAIN aims to increase the economic sustainability of extensive livestock farms dedicated to the production of meat labeled under the 100% Iberian Native Breed seal.
Objectives
- Analysis of needs and requirements of the future traceability system
- Development of the blockchain platform and sensor solutions using NIRS
- Implementation of a blockchain platform to ensure the traceability of meat labeled as 100% Iberian Native Breed
- Technical coordination of the project
- Dissemination and transfer of project results to the sector
Results
- Defining the requirements for a blockchain-based traceability system and a NIRS-based sound system
- Programming the blockchain platform and consumer app
- Development of an automatic sound system and the quantitative and qualitative multivariate models of the NIRS equipment
- Implementation, start-up and validation of the traceability system
- Financial management and monitoring of project progress
- Promotion of the project idea and dissemination of the results
