Description

Design, development, evaluation, and implementation of actions for integrated adaptation systems for the stone fruit sector to climate change.

Objectives

Identification and characterization of specific agroclimatic areas and zones suitable for the efficient and sustainable cultivation of stone fruit production areas.
Identification and characterization of varietal groups and unique varieties of stone fruit trees suitable for implementation and cultivation in suitable areas and zones.
Design, development, experimental validation, and optimization of unique, efficient, and sustainable cultivation methods and practices.
Development of an integrated agronomic and agroeconomic evaluation system.
Development of an Information, Advisory and Decision Support System (SIAD).

Results

Identification of typologically characterized agroclimatic areas and zones suitable for the establishment and productive development of stone fruit trees, Specific climate change scenarios developed from relevant agroclimatic variables and indicators.
Comprehensive operational typologies of productive orientations.
Cultural methods and practices focused on facilitating the adaptation of each productive orientation to the conditions induced by climate change.
Integrated system for the agronomic and agroeconomic evaluation of discrete areas suitable for cultivation.
System to facilitate the selection of production area/zone and production orientation.
