Description

Design, development, evaluation and implementation of actions for integrated adaptation systems for the stone fruit sector to climate change.

Objectives
  • Identification and characterization of specific agroclimatic areas and zones, suitable for the efficient and sustainable cultivation of stone fruit production orientations.
  • Identification and characterization of varietal groups and unique varieties of stone fruit trees suitable for their implementation and cultivation in ideal areas and zones.
  • Design, development, experimental validation and optimization of unique, efficient and sustainable cultivation methods and practices.
  • Development of an integrated agronomic and agroeconomic evaluation system.
  • Development of an Information, Advisory and Decision Support System (SIAD).
Results
  • Identification of typologically characterized agroclimatic areas and zones, suitable for the implantation and productive development of stone fruit trees, specific climate change scenarios developed from relevant agroclimatic variables and indicators.
  • Comprehensive operational typologies of productive orientations.
  • Cultural methods and practices focused on facilitating the adaptation of each productive orientation to the conditions induced by climate change.
  • Integrated system for agronomic and agroeconomic evaluation of discrete areas suitable for cultivation.
  • System to facilitate the selection of production area/zone and productive orientation.
