5th International Almond and Pistachio Forum: How to Increase Competitiveness in the Context of Sustainability
Description
This fifth edition of the ' International Almond and Pistachio Forum ' will once again highlight these crops, which continue to expand in Spain, by providing producers with the most appropriate management techniques for profitable cultivation , without forgetting the inherent characteristics of their social and environmental contribution.
Since the start of the campaign in September 2024 , almond prices have experienced an upward trend, rising by 33% , representing a significant recovery after several years marked by falling prices. Although Spanish supply continues to increase, so does global consumption, and especially in Europe. Pistachio prices also remain high , driven by increased supply and more active global demand.
The event has been divided into three sections, each addressing the management of almond and pistachio trees independently. Finally, given their economic importance in our country, we will analyze in a panel discussion the influence of the factors affecting the marketing of these products, as well as the needs and challenges of the sector that will help shape strategies for the future.
To achieve this, we will rely on the knowledge of pioneering research centers in Spain and the experience of national and international companies with extensive experience in the sector.
