On April 12 , the Galician Association of Agri-Food Cooperatives ( AGACA ) will hold an online event dedicated to the breeding of the Celtic pig , a growing native Galician breed. The meeting will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and will bring together specialists in production, marketing, and research related to this species, as well as Iberian pig experts from Extremadura, who will share their experience.

The event is aimed at producers, technicians, researchers, and those interested in sustainable livestock farming and the valorization of native breeds. Key topics will be addressed throughout the session, including nutrition, the environmental impact of extensive livestock farming, meat quality, marketing through the cooperative model, and current projects in Galicia.
