The project aims to accelerate the transition of the EU agri-food industry towards a sustainable growth model by increasing the adoption of measures recommended in energy audits, encouraging companies (C10 - C11) to undergo energy audits and the subsequent implementation of the recommendations of these audits, and promoting digital solutions.
The war in Ukraine threatens global food security. Furthermore, the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the growing risk of the EU becoming overly reliant on global supply chains for key goods and technologies produced in third countries. This adds to the existing pressure that climate change is placing on our food production systems and requires us to continually mitigate and adapt to changes.
To combat environmental pollution and create a more sustainable food sector, it is necessary to reduce energy use during manufacturing. The AENEAM team is composed of several technicians from four EU countries (ES, FR, IT, and PL), combining experts in energy audits and implementation of measures, with agri-food clusters and associations that will promote and support the development of activities.
- Acceleration program tailored to the companies involved with high-impact mentoring, ongoing online immersion, and energy audits.
- Specialized workshops for retraining and improving the skills of energy technicians include strategic proposals to enhance their know-how, green impact strategies for corporate culture and communications, business plans, access to investors and public funding, as well as seminars and demonstrations of digital solutions.
