Description
Cottonseed, a byproduct of fiber production, presents an opportunity to develop high-value-added ingredients and products. This project aims to utilize these surpluses through innovative processes that transform them into functional raw materials for the food industry.
Results
Gossypol removal from seeds exceeding 90%. Oil extraction from cottonseeds on a laboratory scale with a yield exceeding 70%. Obtaining a protein cake with a purity exceeding 60%.
