Description
The proposal of this Operational Group aims to solve the new problems that have arisen in the olive industry due to high-density plantations, such as: demands for low-vigor varieties, genetic impoverishment of the crop, proliferation of verticillium wilt, and the need for new, improved varieties adapted to environmental disturbances and more resistant to Xylella fastidiosa.
Description of activities
- To test the efficacy of micropropagated wild genotypes as low-value rootstocks resistant to verticillium wilt and environmental disturbances.
- Test the susceptibility of genotypes to Xylella fastidiosa.
