HUERTA 4.0 Operational Group: Sustainable greenhouses in cold areas

The Operational Group proposes the design and implementation of a Passive Solar Greenhouse model adapted to the climatic conditions of inland Spain for the production of local, high-value fruit and vegetable varieties. It will implement IoT 4.0 prediction technologies to improve sustainability and energy efficiency, as well as integrate them into the circular economy.

It is an alternative for agricultural producers and the rural population to improve their income with a modest initial investment and reduced energy consumption, allowing them to diversify their production and de-seasonalize some crops.
