Description
According to 2015 data, Spain is the second country with the highest consumption of veterinary antibiotics.
This Task Force seeks to develop improved antimicrobial treatment processes on livestock farms to limit the spread of antibiotic-resistant bacteria, achieving improvements in management processes and new methods for predicting the spread of pathogens.
Objectives
- Strengthen the use of respiratory disease diagnostic tools in beef cattle feedlots.
- Create an information network on the evolution of resistance through increased use of antimicrobial susceptibility testing to enable the implementation of more appropriate treatment protocols.
