Description
The objectives of this Operational Group are to develop and assemble a lightweight, mobile greenhouse-type structure that can be moved to protect the most susceptible varieties of the chestnut wasp (Dryocosmus kuriphilus) during the adult flight season and to monitor the effectiveness of this system in comparison with the administration's recommendations for the use of phytosanitary products.
Objectives
The objectives are the development and construction of a lightweight, mobile structure to protect chestnut saplings during the wasp flight season; the elimination of pesticides; providing buyers with pest-free plants; and better utilization of farm resources.
