The purpose of this Operational Group is to reach the world of chestnut-populated lands with knowledge, science and technology, which will allow us to face current problems, and meet the challenge of propagating resistant plants, innovating in products and processes to reach the market with extracts, biomolecules, essential oils, and fuel, food and feed applications, which will allow us to adapt chestnut production to the challenges of the 21st century.

Innovation strategies are applied to achieve the development of mass propagation systems for disease-resistant plants at competitive prices; reengineering of plantations for their implementation and subsequent mechanized management; obtaining and launching new products, obtained with new processes, and for new markets.
