Operational Group: Weed ecology and biology in container crops, mulch development and ultra-low volume machinery

This Task Force was established to study the ecology and biology of the main weeds in container crops in Galicia, in order to develop different combat techniques instead of traditional herbicide application.

The control techniques will include the development of mulches based on plant materials containing allelopathic substances and the development of application equipment for container crops using ultra-low-volume, targeted direct application to avoid contamination from traditional herbicide use and achieve more sustainable management.
