Oligosaccharides from Salix

The objectives of this Operational Group are to obtain new products with high added value for the forestry industry through a process of research into flint oligosaccharides, the characterisation of surfaces where the possibilities of agronomic implementation of srf (short rotation forestry) systems based on willows are foreseen, as well as their integration with the greening of the CAP and the design and definition of the patterns of implementation and management of the crop.

Finally, the aim is to evaluate other valorisation possibilities associated with agricultural and livestock activity: nutritional value as fodder, value as bedding or substrate, etc.
