Restructuring the exploitation of quality wood, and its classification process to diversify its production and improve its implementation in local markets

The Operational Group was created to find a demonstrative action that would promote secondary broadleaf species of high ecological value within the ES5110011 space of the Natura 2000 Network.

The aim is to improve the profitability of timber harvesting by diversifying the products obtained, since at present, the harvesting of hardwoods is practically limited to obtaining products with little or no added value, such as firewood or biofuels in general. This is the reason why the profitability of harvesting is seriously compromised.
