Operational Group: Project to implement a 4th range product in the retail channel

The creation of an Operational Group, made up of Afrucat (which represents the Catalan fruit sector) and several companies in the sector.

The group's objective is to draft a pre-prepared fruit project for the retail channel, to incorporate pre-prepared fruit into the Catalan sweet fruit sector as a viable business line.

The methodology used in this project has been:

1. Analysis of secondary sources with the collection of indicative information on the current state of the 4th range fruit (production, consumption and sales data in Catalonia, Spain and internationally) and the collection of information on the sweet fruit sector in Catalonia.
2. Interviews with experts to understand the technical limitations of the project.
3. Analysis of the current supply of 4th-range fruit on supermarket shelves.
