PROBIOSEP Operational Group: Production of biofertilizers from livestock manure using advanced separation systems

The Operational Group is developing the PROBIOSEP project. In parallel with the strategy for integrating manure management and organic fertilization for sustainable agriculture in Europe, the project aims to valorize the fractions resulting from the filtration of anaerobically digested slurry as fertilizer, providing an economically sustainable source of excess nitrogen from manure. The project assesses the quality of the products and adapts their physicochemical properties to enable viable transport to areas that can be properly fertilized.

The project's main objective is to develop high-value organic marinades from livestock manure, minimizing the environmental impact of its management.
