Creation of the brand: estate corks, to encourage the use of local cork and increase competitiveness in wineries in the DO Empordán

The Operative Group is developing a project that consists of establishing an organisational method to facilitate the use of local cork by wineries within the Empordà Designation of Origin, as well as proposing a marketing strategy that will value this Catalan cork extracted in the area of influence of the DO Empordà territory.

The project will foster relations between Catalan cork owners, cork preparers, cork stopper manufacturers, research centres and wineries that use these stoppers.
