The objective of the Operational Group is to coordinate the different actors that form part of it and that have their own areas of knowledge in order to achieve common objectives. The foundations are laid for working along the same lines by selecting animals at an early age, to optimise the efficiency of the total production process, and to adapt the production of the type of milk to the demand of the industry.
This approach is made possible by the use of new knowledge techniques such as genomics, which helps us to select the most interesting genes from the female population of the Friesian breed and adapt the composition of milk, fat and types of protein according to the demands of the food industry.
This fact also affects the total census of animals on farms, improving the quality of rearing and allowing for better management of each farm space and increasing the sustainability and viability of livestock farms.
