Description
The Operative Group is pursuing the implementation of an innovative project regarding the symbiosis between the cork sector and the wine sector of the DO Empordà (with its possible extension to the whole of Catalonia), through the characterisation of the differences between the cork extracted in Catalonia and the foreign cork for the manufacture of stoppers.
In this way, the competitiveness of wineries and cork stopper makers would be improved by using cork stoppers of differentiated quality.
