Description
- The aim of this Operational Group is to form a group capable of developing and establishing the conditions to improve the finishing of older cattle intended for meat, promoting the fattening of cows and oxen, so that this potential is not lost, greater commercial activity is generated in the region and products with greater added value are obtained from animals from farms in Cantabria.
- Identifying cattle systems that make it possible to finish animals on farms in Cantabria profitable, increasing population fixation and maintaining biodiversity by optimising own resources.
- Design a quality standard for beef, which allows this meat to be protected under the CC (Controlled Quality) quality standard.
- To disseminate the characteristics of beef obtained in Cantabria among marketers and consumers in Cantabria.
- Create a communication channel between producers, businessmen in the meat sector and consumers related to the Innovative Project.
