Operational Group: Efficient use of predictive means for the control of invasive species

  • Type Operational group
  • Execution 2017
  • Assigned Budget 11.816,00 €
  • Scope Autonómico
  • Autonomous community Aragón
  • Main source of financing PEPAC 2014-2020
Description

The goal is to generate a model for population development and biocity dispersal in irrigation community distribution networks. The aim is to design a system for predicting, monitoring, and even engineering a design appropriate for the presence of invasive species.

It also seeks to establish treatment system methods by analyzing their efficiency.

Finally, conclusions are drawn and practical application of the information to irrigation community facilities is attempted.

Objectives

The ultimate goal of the project is to provide a predictive decision-making tool to users of a facility affected by invasive species such as the zebra mussel and the Asian clam.

The tool aims to facilitate the development of population growth models for these species through mathematical applications, based on key parameters of their evolution, which is essential for designing appropriate treatments.
