The Operational Group has developed protocols for integrated pest management (IPM). To this end, it has implemented and managed IPM methodologies for demonstration purposes, implementing alternative pest control methods in plots of different crops.

The goal is to reduce the impact on human health and the environment through a planned strategy, as well as technical outreach to the productive sector in Aragon (including consultants and producers).

Objectives

The main objective of this Operational Group is to contribute to the promotion of good pest management practices through the implementation of a network of demonstration farms that apply production methodologies consistent with the general principles of Integrated Pest Management (IPM). This is intended to illustrate and facilitate the understanding and application of these methodologies in the production sector, primarily among farmers and consulting technicians.

The Group is currently preparing a demonstration project for IPM in pome and stone fruit trees.
