Description
Creation of an Operational Group with diverse and multidisciplinary representation of stakeholders in the chestnut sector that, in a coordinated manner, will act and innovate in the chestnut sector to improve production, its fruit, its harvesting, processing, and its marketing network, as well as the extrapolation of results to other chestnut-growing areas in the Andalusian region.
Objectives
- Diagnose the current and potential state of the chestnut grove:
- Update the census of crop distribution and surface area.
- Analyze the crop's phytosanitary status. Analyze the production and productive efficiency of the chestnut grove.
- Analyze the marketing network for chestnuts and the products produced.
- Evaluate the environmental factors that affect chestnut conservation and chestnut production.
- Improve their collection, production, processing and marketing.
- To obtain the most competitive chestnut products throughout the entire agri-food process with the lowest possible environmental impact.
- Transforming fruit into new products and opening new avenues for gastronomic marketing.
- Improve the transfer of knowledge between the scientific community and the agri-food production sector.
- Mediate between different social sectors that have conflicting interests to improve their interrelationship.
- Dissemination, awareness and environmental awareness of the project.
