The innovative Navarrese project BIOGREENFOOD wins the SciencEkaitza Best Strategic Project award.

The BioGreenFood project , “Application of (bio)technologies for the development of healthy ingredients through sustainable technological processes”, has been awarded the Best Strategic Project Prize at the latest edition of SciencEkaitza , the event organized by ADItech , the coordinating entity of the Navarrese R&D&I System (SINAI) .

This innovative project aims to develop new, healthy and sustainable ingredients using cutting-edge biotechnologies and environmentally friendly processes . Among the 12 finalists, the jury singled out BioGreenFood's proposal as the most relevant and strategic.

This project includes the Navarra Agri-Food Cluster (NAGRIFOOD) , two knowledge centres, the University of Navarra ( UNAV ) and the Public University of Navarra ( UPNA ) as research leaders, together with 5 entities from the agri-food sector that cover different links within the value chain: ALIMENTOS SANYGRAN , GRUPO AN , PRODUCTOS TREVIJANO , ALINTER ALIMENTACIÓN , GALAR FOODS and INGREDALIA , the latter being the project coordinator.
