Final day of GO Climafarm
Description
On June 27, 2025 , the Climafarm Operational Group (Sustainable Air Conditioning System Prototype for Dairy Production) will hold its final conference in the Coworking Space of the University of Córdoba's Rabanales Campus . This meeting will serve to share the project's results and discuss the opportunities offered by technological innovation to advance toward more energy- and environmentally-efficient livestock farming.
The event, which will begin with a welcome for attendees , will be presented by Ana Mª López , communications officer for Cooperativas Agroalimentarias de Andalucía . The institutional opening will feature the participation of Antonio Blanco , general director of Keyter ; Lourdes Arce , vice-rector for Innovation and Knowledge Transfer at the University of Córdoba ; and a representative of the Andalusian Regional Government (pending confirmation).
The main aspects of the Climafarm project will be addressed during the day:
- Objectives, methodology and phases of the Operational Group , led by Alberto Adamuz , R&D technician at CETEMET .
- Energy and environmental assessment of the system , presented by José Luis Sánchez , researcher at the University of Córdoba .
- Transfer and dissemination actions , presented by Ana Mª López , from the Agro-Food Cooperatives of Andalusia .
After a short coffee break , a round table and technical discussion will be held, moderated by Manuel García Valcárcel , Digitalization Consultant at CETEMET , with the participation of:
- Alberto Jurado , Head of Rural Engineering and Livestock Facilities at COVAP .
- Miguel Galisteo , head of R&D&i at Keyter .
- Manuel Ruiz de Adana , professor at the Department of Applied Thermodynamics at the University of Córdoba .
The event will conclude with a question and answer session and the presentation of conclusions and closing remarks by Miguel Galisteo .
The event is aimed at professionals in the agri-food sector, researchers, students, and companies interested in learning about solutions for more sustainable livestock farming that is adapted to the challenges of climate change.
