The cultivation of aromatic and medicinal plants (AMPs) has recently emerged as an agricultural alternative to traditional crops. The production of these plants encompasses both their cultivation and processing, offering various commercial outlets with a growing demand in recent years.
This course clearly and engagingly explains all the concepts related to the cultivation and processing of aromatic and medicinal plants. A brief analysis of the sector will be provided at both the global and national levels. All the necessary guidelines for decision-making when starting out in aromatic and medicinal plant cultivation will be given. The main species of aromatic and medicinal plants will be studied, as well as the various cultivation practices and processing methods for obtaining the final products: live plants, fresh herbs, dried herbs, frozen herbs, essential oils, and extracts.
