Precision Agriculture and 3D Crops: Application of Phytosanitary Products
Description
Throughout the course, participants will learn about the most advanced technologies for precise 3D crop dosing based on maps and sensors, adapted to the specific needs of each area and crop type, within the global concept of Variable Dosing (VD). Emphasis will be placed on the importance of correct (precise) dosing of liquid and air flow in spraying equipment, providing methods for their correct determination. Finally, participants will be trained to create prescription map management areas on farms, using practical examples and real-life cases, demonstrating the savings achieved (cost reduction) and the minimization of environmental impact in real-life cases.
The course is part of the Digitalization Strategy for the Agri-Food, Forestry, and Rural Environment Sector, promoted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food. Its objective is to overcome the technical, legislative, economic, and training barriers that hinder the sector's digital transformation. It also seeks to promote leadership in the agri-food sector that is sustainable in economic, social, and environmental terms, contributing to the revitalization of rural areas. Special emphasis is placed on fostering a more attractive, dynamic, and diversified rural environment that generates wealth and quality employment, with a specific focus on young people and women.
Five universities are participating in the course: University of Seville (ETSI Agronómica) • University of Córdoba (ETS Agronómica y de Montes) • Polytechnic University of Valencia (ETS of Agricultural and Natural Environment Engineering) • University of Zaragoza (Higher Polytechnic School of Huesca) • Polytechnic University of Catalonia (School of Agro-Food and Biosystems Engineering).
