Description

The Cajamar Foundation is organizing a key event for the olive sector, where the main challenges and opportunities facing this emblematic industry in Spain will be discussed. The event, which will bring together leading industry professionals, will focus on improving profitability, environmental sustainability, and social well-being in the olive grove environment.

A sector of great economic and social relevance

The olive grove is one of Spain's most representative crops, not only due to its historical and cultural traditions, but also due to its economic importance. Our country leads the world in olive oil production, accounting for 70% of the European Union's production and between 40% and 55% of global production.

Current topics and key speakers

The conference will address key topics such as efficiency and sustainability in the new olive industry, strategies for saving water through precision irrigation, the role of digitalization in farm management, and advances in mechanization. The circular economy in the sector will also be analyzed, with special attention to the valorization of byproducts and the use of biomass.

The event will feature renowned experts such as Alfonso Gómez Porras, Marketing Director of Todolivo; José Luis Bustos Jiménez, Director of Brioagro Technologies; and Ana Leyva Bollero, from the IFAPA Alameda del Obispo center, among others.
