Face-to-face workshop “Sustainable use of agro-industrial waste through insect farming”, in Albacete
Description
Valorizing the waste and byproducts generated by the agribusiness sector presents a key opportunity to promote more efficient, sustainable, and competitive production models. Within this framework, insect farming is consolidating itself as an innovative circular economy alternative, capable of transforming organic matter into high-value resources , such as protein for animal feed and fertilizers , thus contributing to reducing environmental impact and optimizing resource use.
With this approach, next Friday, February 20, from 09:00 to 14:00 h, the face-to-face day “Sustainable Use of Agro-industrial Waste Through Insect Farming” will be held, a training activity that will address the principles of insect breeding and management and their application to convert agro-industrial by-products into useful solutions for the sector.
The program includes the analysis of bioconversion processes , production parameters , resource optimization and generation of value-added products , along with good environmental and technological practices aimed at strengthening the sustainability of the agro-industrial sector.
