- Type Project
- Execution 2017 -2018
- Scope Europeo
- Main source of financing Fondo Social Europeo (FSE)
- Project website Web proyecto (Fundación Biodiversidad)
The project is structured around 30 training activities and two advisory activities. The training activities comprising the project are of the following types: generic and cross-cutting actions for introducing agroecological production; specific actions for fruit and vegetable, livestock, and forest-related production; and cross-cutting actions for management and marketing. Both the specific and cross-cutting management and marketing activities include practical training aimed at enabling recipients to understand the real possibilities and advantages of the transition to agroecological production, with on-site knowledge of these practical implications. Two actions are also included to train the tourism and hospitality sectors as co-assistants in the distribution of these products.
The project is complemented by two advisory actions throughout the entire period, aimed at resolving questions and problems for producers seeking to introduce agroecological production or for producers already in organic production who need to consolidate their businesses.
The project's objective is to promote, through training, the agroecological transition of a Biosphere Reserve territory as a development tool that helps maintain the population in an area facing severe depopulation pressures. The project addresses the development, distribution, and/or sale of organic products.
