The final event of the AGROALNEXT plan, in Pamplona, will showcase more than 260 R&D projects in the agri-food sector.
Description
For three years, the complementary agri-food plan AGROALNEXT, promoted by the Government of Spain through the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities , has united the talent of more than 27 research centers , 7 autonomous communities and hundreds of researchers in a joint effort to make the Spanish agri-food sector a benchmark in sustainability, innovation and competitiveness.
This event, under the heading "A more sustainable and digital agri-food sector thanks to knowledge and innovation", will bring to a close a program that has promoted more than 260 R&D projects , generated 230 scientific publications , 22 patents and trained more than 1,500 people in new scientific and technological skills.
The day's program highlights five areas of discussion:
- Sustainable primary production and adaptation to climate change
- Circularity and valorization of by-products
- New food ingredients and processes
- Sensors, digitization and advanced analytics
- Technology transfer, innovation hubs and scientific and technical infrastructures
Featured spaces
In addition, special spaces are set up around the conferences to learn about the projects in depth:
- Poster exhibition area: more than 240 projects developed in the scientific-technical lines (L1–L4).
- Line 5 Space: dedicated to knowledge transfer, with information on activities and the two innovation hubs created: EATEX Food Innovation Hub (Navarra), SERIDA HUB (Asturias)
- Renewed infrastructures: presentation of the investments that have strengthened the scientific and technological capabilities of the program.
