SAVIA, the first project of the Agri-Food Cluster of the Community of Madrid, has been presented
Description
As a result of the active collaboration in the table dedicated to Health, Safety and Food Quality of MadriFood (the Agri-Food Cluster of the Community of Madrid), this week its first project has been presented to the CPP24 call of the State Research Agency .
Under the name SAVIA , this R&D project, valued at more than 1 million euros, brings together several partners of the Cluster with an ambitious objective: to develop functional planning products designed to promote healthy aging .
SAVIA will use advanced technologies such as precision fermentation, extraction of bioactive compounds and microencapsulation of a natural sweetener with a sweetening power up to 2,000 times greater than sucrose. This combination of science, biotechnology and advanced formulation seeks to offer innovative solutions that improve the quality of life and reinforce the competitiveness of the sector.
Since the start of the Working Groups in September last year, more than 60 professionals have actively participated, representing the main companies and organisations in the Madrid agri-food sector. This high level of participation underlines the sector's commitment to public-private collaboration and the development of new solutions for future challenges.
If you also want to be part of this initiative and contribute with your ideas, you can join the Cluster's Working Groups.
