Operational Group: Milk 4.0. Towards accelerating digital adoption throughout the Galician dairy chain

This Operational Group aims to achieve: extract real-time value from farm operating data and make it available to appropriate personnel throughout the production chain to enable actionable decision-making; provide managers with real-time visibility into what's happening at each stage of the production chain; and eliminate information silos: many of the systems operating in parallel in the dairy production chain are isolated.

This situation complicates the use of data for overall production optimization, and simplifies the incorporation of new technologies, given that it is often very complex to incorporate data-leveraging devices and platforms on farms.

For all these reasons, the overall objective of the proposal is to use ICT to lay the foundations for modernizing the Galician dairy sector, seeking to create an information management system that can address the aforementioned needs, with a long-term vision of sustainability and the ability to adapt to new needs.
