Milk 4.0. Towards an acceleration of digital adoption throughout the Galician dairy chain

This Operational Group aims to achieve:

• Extract real-time value from farm operational data and make it available to the right people along the production chain to enable actionable decisions.
• Provide managers with real-time visibility of what is happening at each stage of the production chain.
• Eliminating information silos: Many of the systems that work in parallel in the dairy production chain are isolated.

This situation complicates the use of data to achieve global optimisation of production and simplifies the incorporation of new technologies, given that it is usually very complex to incorporate devices and platforms for data use in farms.

For all these reasons, the general objective of the proposal is to make use of ICT to lay the foundations for the modernisation of the Galician dairy sector, seeking the creation of an information management system that allows solutions to be found for the aforementioned needs, with a long-term vision of sustainability and the ability to adapt to new needs.
