LAMBEED Operational Group: Implementation of integrated Galician lamb production systems. Use of differentiated feed.

The overall objective of this Operational Group is to implement lamb production systems on several sheep farms in the different regions of Galicia involved, through integrated management, with a view to standardizing production and consistently meeting market needs.

Specific objectives include meat and carcass characterization, the definition of a differentiated diet that improves product quality, the design and adaptation of an organizational system for shepherds, and the analysis of the life cycle and carbon footprint of the various production systems defined, thereby encouraging the reduction of CO2 emissions and supporting mountain areas (where a large part of the Galician sheep population is located).
